Axial flux stator and rotor core

Axial flux stator and rotor cores are the core components of next-generation axial flux permanent magnet motors, widely adopted in new energy vehicles and high-precision drive systems. Different from traditional radial flux structures, their magnetic flux travels parallel to the motor shaft, forming a compact disc-shaped layout that redefines motor efficiency and power density.
This unique structural design brings prominent performance advantages. The integrated core eliminates magnetic circuit gaps of conventional laminated cores, reducing eddy current and magnetic hysteresis losses significantly. It improves electromagnetic conversion efficiency while lowering operating temperature rise. Meanwhile, the flat and stacked structure greatly boosts torque and power density, cutting motor volume and weight by nearly half compared with traditional motors of the same power.
In terms of manufacturing and application, optimized axial flux cores support standardized mass production. With higher material utilization and stable mechanical rigidity, they adapt to high-speed and high-frequency working conditions. Though requiring precise processing, they balance premium performance and long-term comprehensive costs perfectly. For electric vehicles and compact drive equipment, axial flux stator and rotor cores have become a key upgrade to enhance endurance and dynamic performance.
