Axial flux stator and rotor core
Axial flux stator and rotor cores are the core components of axial flux motors, featuring a unique disc-shaped structure different from traditional radial flux counterparts.
Made of laminated silicon steel sheets, they effectively reduce eddy current and hysteresis losses. Magnetic flux flows parallel to the motor’s rotating axis, forming a shorter and more direct magnetic path. This design cuts magnetic resistance and enhances flux utilization.
The stator core supports winding arrangement, while the rotor core carries permanent magnets and bears mechanical centrifugal force. With compact size, light weight and high power density, they improve motor efficiency and torque output.
Widely applied in new energy vehicles, industrial drives and aerospace fields, axial flux stator and rotor cores have become a key research direction for high-efficiency and lightweight motor development.
